Before the Overnight Prayer on February 26, some of the questions that came to my mind were “What is there to expect during the overnight prayer?” “Will there be a big turnout?” and “How am I going to stay awake?” But one thing was for sure, I was excited and actually looked forward to this event.

I truly believe that God was in our midst during the overnight prayer. Not just because His word says that when 2 or 3 are gathered together, he is there but because His presence was just overwhelming and it could be felt even at the start of the worship. There was such a stirring in my heart that God wants us to be set apart for Him, and He will give us the breakthroughs in our lives. Incidentally, it was also the day when the Jews come together to celebrate Purim! I believe it was a time of breakthrough for all of us who attended this overnight prayer and we will celebrate that we have a faithful God!

Go Deep

The objective of GO DEEP is simple – we want to provide an opportunity for anyone to come and discuss what has been taught over the pulpit. Many preachers will admit quickly that often they preach and sow the message, but they do not know whether the points get through or whether they have confused us even more. For the few who do come back to ask, questions often arise pertaining to the practicality of the message and how the points can be applied in everyday lives.  That is what GO DEEP is all about. In a small group setting, our questions are answered, our doubts are clarified and we leave being challenged with a greater understanding of what’s been taught.

The atmostphere the past few months at Covenant Vision has been one of a desire to know more of God and what it is He wants to reveal to us. We are reminded always to seek the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of God. With this, there was an air of expectancy and excitement to what He was going to reveal through Dr Bruce Allen´s Seminar, “Promise of the 7th Day”.

CVCC turns ONE!

As a mother, I understand the significance of the first birthday. When my son John turned one, we had celebration one after another. We were celebrating John entering a new stage in his life, toddlerhood. But more than that, we were celebrating our being parents for a whole 365 days, having gone through the good and the bad, the ups and the downs. It felt like a real achievement hitting that one year mark.

For us at Covenant Vision Christian Church, we celebrated our 1st Birthday, or anniversary, as some would call it, on the 1st of November this year and what a celebration it was!

TransforNATION - 9 Aug 2009

“if my people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sins and heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14

The decision to hold TransforNation was definitely God-inspired. When the Pastoral team came together to choose a date for the Tranformetion weekend, not only were they led to hold it on the National Day weekend, they felt the need to set aside one session specially to pray for our Nation of Singapore. With that, the Prayer Praise and Worship service to be held at Parkroyal on Beach Road was birthed.

TransforNation: Transforming our Nation through Prayer Praise and Worship. That was what we set out to do and on the night of 9th August 2009, as the rest of Singapore had their eyes on the floating platform at Marina bay, we had our eyes fixed on Jesus. And by the grace of God, we set off Spiritual fireworks in the heavenlies.
